JOB FOCUS - INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS
Disability Employment Consultant - known as "Employment Coordinator"
NOTE: This information is provided for persons interested in working as an
Employment Coordinator.
When vacancies arise, they are advertised on the SEEK web site under human
resources. The information here is then used to inform and direct the application
process. Applications in the form of Expressions of Interest may be submitted at
any time.
Thank you for your interest in working as an Employment Coordinator. Job Focus is based in Frankston, Victoria and provides ongoing vocational
assistance to people with long term disabilities.
Each Employment Coordinator works with 20-30 clients - both job seekers and
workers - and assists them to
- prepare for job seeking and working,
- find work by actively job searching on their behalf, and
- maintain employment by providing ongoing on-the-job support and training.
The terms of recruitment and employment include
- Selection on the basis of experience, qualifications, claims against
selection criteria, performance at interview(s) and telephone referee
reports
- An initial 3 month probationary period
- Successfully meeting the responsibilities outlined in the
position overview
- Remuneration based on the Community Employment Training and Support Services (CETSS) Award with optional salary packaging arrangements
- Other terms and conditions as per Labour Market Assistance Industry Award, TPO2
- Tertiary qualifications in disability employment and/or relevant experience preferred
- A police check is required of all new staff appointments
- Affirmative Action policies and procedures apply
- A recipient of Job Focus assistance may participate in the selection process
